April is for Art

Interested in world-class art? Then, it’s time to get collegiate at Stanford University. Home to five thousand years of art history and a diverse collection that spans the globe, the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford is just a twenty-minute drive from our San Carlos hotel. You can check out exhibits, like "Red Horse: Drawings of the Battle of the Little Bighorn," showing now through May 9th and "Myth, Allegory, and Faith: The Kirk Edward Long Collection of Mannerist Prints," now through June 20th, and one of the most famous works of art living at the Cantor Center, the Rodin Collection. The entire 200-piece art collection by renowned French sculptor Auguste Rodin, including twenty sculptures, are on display. Open six days a week, the Cantor Center is free to the public. Enjoy delicious gourmet sandwiches, soups, salads and fresh desserts overlooking the Rodin Sculpture Garden at the Cool Café. After a day of art, head back to Hotel Lia to unwind.
