Ready to Take Flight

Are you a history buff? Well then a visit to the Hiller Aviation Museum will make your heart soar with happiness. Dedicated to the dreams of flight, innovation, and adventure, the museum showcases aviation history dating back as far as 1869. Located less than a ten-minute drive from our San Carlos hotel, the aviation museum is a great way to spend an afternoon. Interactive displays include a real Boeing 747-100 nose section and cockpit, flight simulators, an air traffic control simulation, and many others. You can watch San Carlos Airport live operations from their observation nook and monitor real-time radio communications between traffic controller and pilots. We recommend taking the afternoon to explore the whole museum, especially the "Working World of Aviation" exhibit, which explores flight in today’s real world as it unfolds on a daily basis. After a relaxing day of all things planes, head back to the hotel to get ready for a night on the town!
