City by the Baylands

A quiet bit of nature in Palo Alto, the Baylands Nature Preserve is the largest undisturbed marshland in the San Francisco Bay area, with lots of hiking trails of different lengths that are easy enough for a pleasant walk or a leisurely bike ride. Located less than fifteen minutes from our San Carlos hotel, the park is also an excellent place for bird-watching, with a huge variety of birds, including cranes, egrets, geese and pelicans. You may even spy a few wild foxes as you meander through this little paradise. A popular spot for artists looking for a secluded and picturesque spot, the Baylands provides an all-natural place to unplug from the city and enjoy a bit of nature.
