Come From Away

It has been almost 18 years since the horrible events of September 11, 2001, and the aftermath of that tragedy is still being felt today. However, in the midst of all of that darkness, people from all around the country and the world came together like never before. The new musical, Come From Away, celebrates the heroism and kindness that emerged from those troubled times. The fantastic play will be performed at The Golden Gate Theater which is about 35 minutes from the LiA Hotel. That may seem like a bit of a long drive, but this unique and uplifting performance is well worth the trip. Come From Away tells the story of the 7000 passengers and the local residents of Gander, Newfoundland who found themselves thrust together when all flights were grounded. The town opened their arms to the travelers and friendships that will last a lifetime were forged. Come From Away is a testament to the power of love that often emerges in the darkest times.
